Since 1999 when it was revived after its collapse in the 70s, a lot has happened in the East African Community. Rwanda, Burundi, South Sudan and the Democratic Republic of Congo, for instance, are now members of the bloc, joining Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. Somalia is also keen to join the community.
