The cancer burden has been rising in Kenya over the years, with the annual disease incidence standing at an average of 50,000 people and deaths at over 33,000. With rising cases, cancer is the third leading cause of death in Kenya and the second major killer among non-communicable diseases (NCDs) after cardiovascular diseases.
