The Privatisation Authority is a State Agency formely known as the Privitisation Commission. The institution was initially established under Section 3 of the Privatization Act of 2005. The enactment of the Privatisation Act, No. 11 of 2023 led to the establishment of the Privatisation Authority under the National Treasury.
