One Year On

ONE YEAR ON; SERVING PUBLIC BETTER THROUGH STRONGER SYNERGIES AND DIGITAL INITIATIVES

In line with President William Ruto’s directive on digitisation of all government services, KYEB has identified and is in the process of on-boarding its publications and services onto the e-Citizen website. You can also access your favourite publications like “KibakI Cabinets”, “Moi Cabinets” and “Yearbooks” through the link https://kenyayearbook.co.ke/

KYEB publishes and distributes “AgendaKenya” weekly (digital) and quarterly (printed) newspapers detailing the latest achievements of the government. These papers strengthen the government’s public communication on programmes and projects.
In the last one year, KYEB has created synergies and partnerships with Ministries, Departments, Agencies and Counties (MDACs) for dissemination of information to the public through AgendaKenya. In particular, KYEB worked with the ICT Authority during the “Connected Summit”, which was held from April 2-5, 2023 in Diani, Kwale County and the Madaraka Day Organising Committee to educate the public on the MSMEs sector in line with the day’s theme. KYEB has in the last one year produced “InfoBytes”, an online newsletter that focuses on various topics. This newsletter has provided Kenyans with free digital access to information on government services and how to access them. In the last one year, KYEB has partnered with Kenya National Library Services, State Department of Livestock, Kenya National Qualifications Authority, ICT Authority, National Transport and Safety Authority and Office of the Data Commissioner to produce “InfoBytes” on the jobs they do. “MyGov”, a publication which carries government tenders and job opportunities, has been successfully edited, designed and produced every week without fail by KYEB in conjuction with the Kenya News Agency (for content) and the Government Advertising Agency. This has not only strengthened synergies within government for sharing of information for dissemination to the public but also built a brand that is always eagerly awaited by the public every Tuesday.
Apart from the printed version of “MyGov”, the paper is also distributed via the website mygov.go.ke and on WhatsApp community which you can join using the link

To boost efficiency, KYEB has automated its services to support the government policy on digitisation of public services, reduce paper waste and enhance efficient service provision.

KYEB has been at the forefront of promoting diversity and inclusion at the workplace. The institution was named the 1 st runner-up in the 5 th Diversity Inclusion Awards & Recognition (DIAR) held in March 2023 for championing diversity and promoting, inclusion and belonging at the workplace.

KYEB was also ranked “high achiever” on values and principles by the Public Service
Commission (PSC) in its December 2022 annual report on the “Status of Compliance with Values and Principles in Articles 10 & 232 of the Constitution of Kenya”.
